Drexel, Baylor, Cincinnatti, etc.

Alright, I've compiled the schools with BS/MD that I will be applying to. However, I would like to weed out or add some schools--I need you guys' help.

I want to apply to schools that I will actually have a shot at with my stats.
SAT:2030 (i know i know not that stellar.) 1360/1600
GPA: 4.1

So far I have.

1.)Union College
2.)University of Connecticut
3.)NEOUCOM
4.)USC
5.)Drexel
6.)Baylor/Rice
7.)University of Toledo<--debating cuz they only accept 5 for bacc/md
8.)University of Alabama Birmingham
9.)University of Cincinnati<--- debating about this one since they require you to take MCAT but they accept 18 students as opposed to 10, which is the amount of seats for a lot of bs/md schools.

So, which ones should I not apply to that the chances or soooo low and which ones should I add? Or should I just apply to all of them?

Please help me??? :3

In regard to your comment “Cincinnati<— debating about this one since they require you to take MCAT” - MCAT is a big plus, not minus. DAP requires only MCAT=27. However, if you get higher, you can apply out. Lots of kids get very close to 27 on their first practice MCAT test before any preparation. As of now D. (she is in this program) has acceptances to 3 Medical Schools (including Cinci).
Toledo - easier to get in than some others. They used to have 2 bs/md programs, one in Bio, another in Engineering, but you could apply only to one.
While 2 above might not be so stringent about IS vs. OOS, NEOUCOM is accepting very very few OOS. It has been their official policy in a past (might have been changed) that they accept no more than 5 OOS total out of 105 spots (35 to each UG). However, historically they have accepted even less than 5 in a past few years.
PM is you have more detailed questions about these 3 programs as my D. has been accepted to all of them, but it was 4 years ago.

Good strategy on your part to apply to wide range. Best wishes, whatever you choose!

^Toledo is most definitely not easy to get into, especially if you are applying to the baccalaureate/MD program. They only have 5 seats.

apply to drexel. you’ll definately get in. and they have a sick co-op option
