drop ap microecon?

before anything else, my admission results so far are:

indiana u bloomington, accepted
mizzou, accepted
iowa u honors, accepted
uiuc, denied
umich, deferred
waiting on purdue and penn state

I'm currently taking ap microecon and im thinking of dropping it for a few reasons:
1. i got a c in ap macroecon last sem and i dont want to risk hurting my gpa even more
2. this class is pointless for me as i'm going into engineering and already have 2.5 credits of social studies
3. since i have it during the last period of the day, i can go home early if i drop it. I'd probably use the extra hour working or something.

so what do you guys think? will dropping this course hurt my admission chances?

thanks

does anybody have any thoughts?

bump
nobody?

it really depends on where you want to go. if your top choice is one of the schools you've already been accepted to, call the admissions office to explain the situation and ask if it will affect your admission. 99% chance they'll let you drop it, you just NEED to let them know.
if your top choice is somewhere you're still waiting on, you'll also have to contact the admissions office. it probably won't hurt you too much, but it won't help if you're on the border.
