Drop Calc???

I am currently a senior in high school and it is my intent to go into architecture.
I have already taken, algebra 1 & 2, geometry, and precal,
this year i'm taking AB Calc and am struggling.
I don't want to fail or be stressed out my senior year, but I am worried that dropping the class will reflect really poorly to the more selective architecture programs I'm applying to, (Syracuse, Penn State, U of Miami, CMU, etc. )

I would really appreciate any opinions on the matter!

Look, I can’t say I know for certain calc is needed for that major, but I can guess that is IS. I think you need the class.

Is this AP AB calc? If it is, why don’t you drop down to the regular section of calc?

You will need to take calculus in college for a degree in architecture. Even if you take it in HS you will probably want to repeat it then. Dropping into a regular section (if available) wouldn’t be a bad thing, but first talk to your teacher about what it would take to no longer be struggling in your current course. Things may not be as bad as they seem.

In my experience, the secret to mastering calculus is doing every single problem in the book over and over until you get it. Try that too.

IMHO you’re better off getting some HS Calculus under your belt before tackling it in college. Architecture without structural engineering? Structural engineering without Calculus? Unlikely.
