Hi guys so I’m a current sophomore looking to transfer as a junior. The late drop deadline is Monday and I’m really puzzled whether or not to at least change the grading option for one of my classes. However, I am already taking a class pass/fail which is not in my department and completely out of my comfort zone so if I also change this other course to pass/fail I will end up with only 8 letter-graded units. I’ve had 13 and 17 letter graded units the past year which is normal. I’m not sure if I want to do it but if I don’t I will end up with a B in this class which will drastically lower my cumulative GPA. I’ve been doing well academically and am really scared about this “downward trend” situation… please help!!
If you can get a B, do not drop it! You want to get the credits and you want to continue to make SAP for transferring and FA purposes.
Talk to an adviser about the pass/fail option. I don’ think it will hurt you but the adviser will know better.
Thanks for your reply! However doesn’t it look super bad if I only have 8 units w/ letter grade! Will meet with advisor soon thanks
