Drop in First Semester Senior Grades....

My unweighted GPA for freshman-Junior Years is about a 3.9 but due to my difficult courseload this year my GPA looks like it may drop to 3.4-3.5. I am taking AP English Lit, AP Bio, AP Euro, and AP AB Calculus. I go to a difficult private school. About half my schools are early and the other half are regular decision. Should I be freaking out?

Some of the schools I am applying to are UNC Chapel Hill (in state), Wakeforest, Boston College, NC state, Emory, and Villanova.

Oh yeah and I also took 3 AP's junior year and got 2 a's and a b.

I’m going to have the same problem; I’m taking AP Bio, AP Chem, AP Physics C, AP Calc BC, AP gov/econ, and AP English. However, I also missed the first 2.5 weeks of school. Does anyone know if this will affect college applications? Should I tell colleges I missed the first 2.5 weeks of school?

It’s really not good to do this, you wanna show improvement at this time, not a decline.

I know that it is definetley not a good time to show a decline in grades but with varsity sports, leadership, and applications coupled with difficult classes it is hard to make all a’s.

how can you apply to more than one school early?

Oh sorry I meant Early Action. But any other thoughts on whether this is going to be disastrous in my college admissions? My weighted GPA will still be above 4.0 its just my unweighted average I am worrying about.

Bumppppppppppp

well, that’s what weighted GPA’s are for

but the real question is WHY DID YOU TAKE THEM IF YOU KNEW YOU WERE GOING TO BE BUSY WITH OTHER STUFF? @strizessed

OP: Any chance you go to Providence Day?

It’s only the end of September. You have many more chances to get your grades back up.

@novad3mon lol no I don’t go to providence day but we play them in soccer.
