Hey guys

The first semester of my Junior year is coming to a close and my grades are NOT where I intended them to be. Freshman and Sophomore year I did pretty well [ All As other than a B in an honors course]. This year I took some pretty tough classes [ AP statistics AP us history and American Lit Honors] and it looks as though I might get a B in all three. This would make my first semester GPA a 3.5 compared to the 3.8-4.0 semester GPAs I have been getting since entering high school. Besides the fact that the highest non-freshman year inclusive GPA I can get by the time I submit first semester grades to colleges next year is 3.833 [ which isnt bad by any means!! Im just sad I lost the ability to get a 3.9+ so early on], I am worried that colleges will think I am trying less hard in my classes as time passes on. I don't want them to think that I stopped trying and began to decline academically. My grades seem to reflect this numerically, but the courses I took were significantly harder than the past two years.

Do you think that admissions boards will be able to tell that the courses were the reason behind the decline in grades? If it would be looked at negatively how badly would that impact my chances at a college?

Please let me know..Im starting to get really stressed
