Drop or continue class..Ucsb pre-req.

I am an Econ/acct major who submitted the 2012 tag for SB.
Due to certain events, it has cause me not do so well in Calculus. After tomorrow's test, I will probably be Low C/D. However, I can still drop with a W. If I drop this class it will be my 4th W @@. My counselor advised that I shouldn't accumulate so much W's.

I'm a bit confused on the TAG. It says that I have to finish 4 pre-reqs (micro,macro-econ, stats, and cal1&2 by spring 2012) to be accepted into the major..
I'm done with both econ reqs, and I'm taking stats this winter.
I will have to retake cal for spring 2012, and cal 2 for summer or fall 2012.
so with that being said, If I do drop this class, will I not be able to transfer to SB next year and my tag will be rejected?

My GPA as of now is around 3.5
I have one more class (Art) to finish my IGETC.
So the only classes I need to finish are Cal1&2,stats,Acct2, and Art.

Thank you for taking your time to read this, and I sure do hope you can leave a comment! ^_^

^^Unfortunately, UC’s will not accept any summer classes of the semester before you transfer. So, if you are planning to transfer in Fall 2012, they will not accept any classes from Summer 2012.

I suggest you getting the ‘C’ since your GPA will still be TAG qualified and do better on your Calc 2 in Spring 2012-- unless you want to wait another year.

Are you a student from PCC? I suggest that you should settle with a C in the Calc class. Take Stats in Winter. Then for Spring, finish up Calc, Accounting1, and your GE class. You have a GPA of 3.5. If you do get a C in Calc, I’m sure it can’t get lower than 3.2.

UCSB wants you to finish specific classes for Econ majors.
