I just received the offer from Cal yesterday, but the offer requires me to complete Microeconomics which I just dropped 3 days ago without W. The course’s professor refused to add me back. Can I complete this course in summer session before Fall semester starts? Or is there any way I can keep my admission? Please help thank you.
Man, why would you drop it? I don’t think so. Especially if it was a major class. But I’m just going by the contract.
I’d contact them to see and I’d try contacting the Dean of Business at your CC to see if you can add back in and somehow scape by with a C.
Cal explicitly states that pre-reqs must be completed by the end of spring. Taking it in summer will not count. Your acceptance will be rescinded. Sorry man.
Getting back in that class you dropped is your only hope.
The school replied and said I am fine since I have completed most of the major preps; I just need to submit the update form. Thanks guys
It specifically said you needed to complete it in your provisional and then they just said who cares? And it’s a required course? You were very very lucky.
Congrats, but yeah, you’re lucky. Out of curiosity, two things:
-
What major?
-
Why on earth would you think dropping a major pre-req during the last semester you’re able to take it and when it’s required for admission was a good idea?
I could honestly still see this not working out as Cal’s policy on this is crystal clear and it’s explicitly stated during the admissions process as well your provisional contract of admission that it needs to be completed, but best of luck regardless.
