I am a premed major, doing biochemistry, also a freshman. I am taking a literature class to fullfill a lit credit. This is the only class which I have no interest in, and I am only taking it to fulfill a requirement. There are a only few lit courses open to freshman, and a few I was interested in were all taken by upper classmen, so I had to pick this class. I like my TA, but I do not like the course. We suddenly get pop quizes on 300 page novels we are required to read almost every week and with my other science course load (ie organic chemistry etc), I just don't thinks its rational for me to continue in this course with which I have little interest, has little to do with biochemistry.

I am planning on dropping it and taking another course. I am just concerned about the affect of a DR on my transcript. Thoughts on this? Thanks for reading
