I've already been accepted to Syracuse University under Early Decision, but my second semester schedule was a little messed up. I have AP Government for one of my courses but the counselor put it there to fill the spot at that time. I am not planning on taking the course but Syracuse might assume I am.

This is a one semester course and starts next semester, but I do not want to take it because I have a problem with that teacher. Would it be ok if I change my course for that hour? I already have 3 other AP classes. I am also paying my deposit this weekend as well.

Please let me know what I should do or if it's something I shouldn't worry about.

have your guidence department send an email to Syracuse explaining the situation.

Send your own email explaining the situation

Its probably not a big deal but you don’t want to ignore it and have them think you tried to pull one over on them by only listing the class for application purposes.

I called them today and the CAS Counselor told me I would be find and it wouldn’t affect my admissions if I take a different course than AP Government. So am I safe to drop it?
