Dropping a course after submitting a Transfer Admission Update

Hello guys. I haven’t submitted by Transfer Admission Update (TAU) for my Fall 2020 transfer application because I don’t know which course I will (continue to) take in Spring 2020 semester.

I am (primarily) planning to take 3 courses for Spring 2020 semester. However, there is 4th course I might attempt to take as well. I’m just not sure if I can handle that workload and I MAY have to drop it later on if it doesn’t work out.

As for now, I want to put all 4 courses on my Spring 2020 schedule and then if I decide to drop a course, I will update it. Is it possible to make updates to TAU for dropping a course? Will doing this (dropping a course listed in TAU later on with or without a W grade) affect my admission chances?

If I do drop that course, I will take it during the Summer before transferring, but that would mean I would have to make updates to TAU as well.

Keep in mind that for my primary major, these courses are not required nor are they GE courses as I’ve already completed all of them. These are just courses that are required for a second major I am planning to do.

Thanks!

Put it in, then if you drop it, update in TAU. Don’t even bother with alerting them about summer. Once accepted you can then ask if you can take the summer course. They basically always say yes.

Thank you so much!
Also, is there a limit or a due date to how many TAU’s I can submit?

You can update as needed. But after Jan 31 you should probably also message each UC through the portal in case they don’t look.
