So I am thinking of dropping a virtual school AP Microeconomics class within the grace period. While it wouldn’t be put on my transcript, I have already self-reported that I was planning to take the class. I have already been accepted in the college of my choice, but I was wondering if by dropping the class, I could be rejected or rescinded the admissions offer. I am currently taking AP Macroeconomics for reference.
If replacing it with something of similar rigor, probably not an issue. It may be sn issue if you don’t replace it. Regardless, you need to tell the colleges.
I dual enrolled English for that slot, so I am assuming that it would fit as equal rigor. Thanks for the fast reply and I have emailed the colleges about it.
That should be fine. Good luck.
Any unreported change that shows up as a surprise on final transcripts could be cause for rescission.
Since the college has already admitted you, contact it to get an ok from it before you do the change. The college is more likely to say that it is ok if the resulting schedule is of equal or higher rigor than what was previously reported as planned.
