I went to a community college for a year and am now in my 3rd semester at one of my states 4 year schools majoring in civil engineering. I dropped a class 1st and 2nd semester and am now considering dropping one this semester. I know this is bad but there is nothing I can do about the first two. My question is how bad does this look to co-op interviewers. I have interviews coming up in a couple weeks. I have an okay gpa (3.2) and dropping these classes has not put me behind or made me a part time student. I came in with extra credits and made up a class over the summer. I also have design experience which should help.

Reasons for Dropping:

Physics: This was my first semester at my 4 year school and I honestly was just not used to the pace. I got behind and felt like I could not catch up. Next semester I got a B. (1 point away from an A)

Geomatics: I was still in general engineering and had decided to major in mechanical engineering so this class would not count as anything. I dropped it a couple days after the period where you can drop without a W. I felt stupid about this one since I ended up going with civil. In this class now and getting an A. I also am really enjoying this class.

The class I am in now is a senior level civil class. I did not have the pre reqs done but my adviser said it was okay to take it. All the other classes were full so I decided to try it. I feel like some of the stuff is over my head and I didn't do great on the first test. I can probably pull a C at the highest. I also feel like I am not learning nearly as much as I would if I had the pre reqs done.

I am worried how all this will look to interviewers. Should I stick out the 3rd class? My co-op interviews are on the 23rd and Nov 1st is the withdrawal deadline. I could wait till then to withdrawal but then if they ask how that class is going I'm not sure what I would say.

So do you guys think I should: Drop Now, Drop After, or Stick It Out. Also any tips on explaining my W's to an interviewer would be great.
