Need help deciding on whether to drop courses

Hi. I'm new here and signed up because I am having a lot of trouble making a decision. I am six credits away from my mechanical engineering degree. I am taking the Vibrations summer course and having a lot of trouble with the course, due to the pacing. I was just wondering if it would hurt my job prospects if I decided to go part-time next semester and drop these summer courses. I cannot keep up. The pace is killing me. After studying for hours upon end, I realized I needed more help. Any answers are appreciated.

If it helps, I plan to also study for my GREs during my part-time status, so it won't be me fooling around. I also plan to immediately start looking at job prospects as soon as a drop these courses, very early, so I can be ready. I have already written most of my resume and having several good credentials from projects, extracurriculars, an internship and a 3.1 overall GPA with a 3.3 major GPA.

Employers won’t care if you’re full time or not. They probably won’t even know.

The only time I can think of that being full time or part time really matters is if you have a scholarship or are getting any sort of aid that requires you to be a full time student.
