Dropping Elective Courses?

Hey im a junior right now, and i looked back at the electives i took during 9th and 10th grade, and i realized that those two brought my overall gpa down. i want to drop those courses from my transcript, and i was wondering if i could do that. if i do, i still already have enough elective credits to graduate, and also i meet the course load requirements for those two years even if i take those out. So i was hoping and wondering if anyone else did that, or if they know if i COULD drop these electives that already passed. thanks.

er, not in my school.
this is kind of like taking your best and showing it to college. it kind of wouldn't be fair if you could do that in one school but not at others. you know what i mean?

o dam.... that makes sense......
ugh....alright... thx...

I opted to unweight an elective, just because it was CP2 (2nd level, right below honors) and even if I worked hard in it and got a 100, it would still bring my GPA down. I take Honors Concert Band as my other elective, which brings my GPA up  However, many elite colleges re-calculate your GPA and electives aren't considered, which could be aplus for you. For me, taking Honors Band helps to bring up my class rank. Its not like I wouldn't take band anyway...I <3 band

they recalculate? really? wait what about colleges like Yale or Columbia? would they recalculate my gpa without electives?

JTC007, They can re-calculate your GPA but they can't re-calculate your Rank, which is very important to selective colleges.

That is what I was trying to get at. Lol re-reading my post it wasn't clear.

woo89 I'm not sure about Yale/Columbia but I know that Princeton does it. I assume that Yale/Columbia do...they have to have some way of standardizing one's GPA.
