Dropping my ap chem class after I got accepted to colleges

So I got accepted to a lot of colleges but now I have to drop my ap chem course because it gives me a lot of stress and anxiety and I have stuff going on at home. And since I already took my midterm. The class is gonna show up on my transcript as a 59 for the year cause it’s a withdraw failing but I still have 93
Gpa. Can my colleges rescind my acceptance. I emailed them saying why I had to drop and everything.

Yes, colleges can rescind your acceptance if you drop AP Chemistry. IMO if you can complete the class and keep your grade a C or better that would be the best course of action.

I would email and ask permission from each admissions office you have an acceptance from to drop the class BEFORE you actually drop it. If a college admission office agrees to allow you to drop AP Chem and keep you admission offer be sure to get it in writing.

You also need to inform any colleges you are waiting for an answer from that you will be dropping the course.

Sounds like you’ve already notified schools before dropping it, which is the correct action.

Yes, they can rescind an offer for substantive changes in an application. A grade below a C and withdraw/fail are very common reason, along with legal troubles.

If a school that you want to attend says your offer will be rescinded, try to get through the rest of the year. With a 93 more than half way through the year, keeping it at a C or above should be possible.

Absolutely. Your transcript will reflect that you have failed a core course.
