Dropping out

Hey, guys.

So I am - or was - in a MSEE program. I have a BSEE and, over the summer, I did an internship at one of the largest tech/computer companies in the world. I don't want to say which one, for privacy's sake.

Anyway, I'm done. I mean, I'm dropping out of grad school. I think I may have flunked out. To be honest, since I started my MSEE in September 2011, I gradually became less and less interested in it. And by this quarter, I was certain I didn't want to continue.

And now I'm scared. I have no idea what to do or where to go, and I need some advice.

Perhaps working for a few years outside of academia would be beneficial. You might be able to clear your thoughts and re-center yourself.

If you liked working in the tech sector and your internship was successful, you could try to enroll in classes under probationary status.

Best of luck!
