Dropping Precalc Honors

I am a current junior and I am in a very stressful situation.
I have taken honors math my entire life up until this year (and not elementary school)

I took Pre-Algebra Honors, Algebra Honors, Geometry Honors, Algebra 2 Honors, and then I dropped Precalculus Honors this year.

In my school, Precalculus Honors is unnecessarily difficult. It is one of the hardest classes in my school and I didn’t think it was worth the stress since I am taking other difficult APs, such as Biology, US History, Lang and Economics.

I am worried though that it will look bad on my transcript that I dropped it. My average in college prep Precalculus is a 100 (it’s very easy for me but difficult to others).

Can I make up for the drop by going into AP Calculus AB? Many students in my school do this and do well. I want to go to a top 50 school.

You should take AP Calc AB in order to compensate because if not it will just seem as if you were slacking off.
