<p>When is the deadline to drop summer courses at Berkeley while making NO notations on transcript, etc, whatsoever?</p>

<p>You must drop it before the first day of instruction, which I find ridiculous.
Why can't we drop a class in the summer? Are they really that money-hungry?</p>
<p>The issue is the refund. You have several weeks to drop the course, you just don't get a refund. But my understanding is you can apply the money to a future course. Anyway just visit the website and read for yourself:
