Possible to drop a class now?

<p>Hey Guys,</p>

<p>I posted the same thing on the UC Berkeley livejournal. I'm just trying to get a quick answer. I appreciate it!</p>

<p>Anyway....Hope everyone is enjoying/surviving the last week before spring break. I have a quick question. I know the drop deadline has long since passed us by, but does this include drops that would result with a 'W' (or what have you) on your transcript? I can't find anything online that will tell me the specifics. Sorry if the answer is a little obvious, but I don't have any experience with dropping a course after the deadline and was wondering if it is at all possible. A friend of mine would like to know and I'm trying to help him out.</p>

According to this, your friend needs to get the dean's approval, pay the fee and have some mark in your transcript.
