iv ben admitted to the school of engineering… i was told bout the possibility of doing a dual degree at Penn by my interviewer…how hard/competitive is it to be able 2 do a dual degree with engineering and wharton? what is the gpa required? the website says 3.4 minimum but what were the actual gpa’s required the past couple of years?

also, if i plan to transfer to wharton at the end of the first yr, how difficult is it?
is it easier to get a dual degree status or an internal transfer?

Internal transfers are REALLY competitive and difficult because they're based solely on GPA. I think it's something like 3.8 minimum for a Wharton transfer.

Dual degree and transfer applicants are in the same pool. Getting the 3.8 GPA necessary to transfer is very hard for a SEAS student, but I think the legend did it (legendofmax). If you want to graduate in 4 years, I think the transfer to Wharton and minor in engineering (everything but BE) would be the best option.

when they say that applicants are considered in the same pool, does that mean that it is equally hard to get an internal transfer or dual degree status? as in is the same gpa required for internal transfer and dual degree?

The actual GPAs and the fact that IT and DD are in the same pool are all listed on the website. Please read the entire site as it contains all the information that you really need to know. We do not release any information other than what is posted on the site.

I have read the website. It says 94 people got the opportunity to do dual degrees last year. However, it does not specificaly mention how many people could do a dual degree with wharton(it is easier to do a dual degree with any other school). Also, it is just mentioned that the applicants are considered in the same pool. I just want to clarify whether that means that it is equally hard to get a dual degree status or an internal transfer..
