Dual Degree? Cross Registration

Hello, i;m an international student and i'm thinking Wellesley college for my early Decision
I heard that there is Cross registration program? with several top schools including MIT
and if I successfully get into the Wellesley, then do I have chance to have dual degree from other schools? Or I can only take cross registration for some subjects, not dual degree??

If you are interested in a dual degree, then I think it depends on the particular program. To see how it works, it would be helpful to review information on Wellesley’s website:

[Opportunities at Other Schools | Wellesley College](Opportunities at Other Schools | Wellesley College)

[Dual Degree with Olin | Wellesley College](http://www.wellesley.edu/advising/classdeans/engineering/dual-degree-with-olin)

[Dual Degree with MIT | Wellesley College](Double Degree with MIT | Wellesley College)

If you aren’t interested in a dual degree, you can just take a particular course at the other schools.

Thank you for your reply
Also, I’m curious about changing the major.
Indeed, i’m pretty interested in various majors… so change majors between different
departments are quite easy? or I have to choose my major seriously when applying?

When you apply for admission, you indicate what you think you might be interested in studying. But at Wellesley you are not applying for a specific school, department or program. It’s really just what you think you are interested in studying.

Once a student is admitted and begins her coursework, she would meet with an advisor, who would be assigned based on what the student indicated she was interested in studying on her application.

Students formally declare a major their sophomore year. If a student intends to study abroad during their junior year, they declare in late fall, otherwise all sophomores declare by the spring. It is not uncommon to take a variety of courses the first year, in part to meet the various distribution requirements, and in part to be exposed to different disciplines.

When the student declares their major, they meet with an advisor from that department and plan out what courses the student will need to take each semester to stay on track to meet the degree requirements.

So academic interest indicated on the application is just an interest, and until a major is declared your second year, your interest can change. However, once you choose your major during your sophomore year, it will become more difficult to change your major and still stay on track for completing your degree.
