But given it's prestige, I am afraid that I will not be offered a spot in their School of Computer Science (since one must apply to both schools as well as get accepted into both schools).

Are there any other colleges/universities that offer such programs?

At UC Berkeley, a double major with Computer Science (in the College of Letters and Science) and Art Practice is theoretically doable, but would require very careful scheduling (though AP Calculus and AP English credit may help). Both departments also offer minors.

The Art Practice major is impacted and requires applying to declare (with a portfolio and a 3.3 GPA. The Computer Science major (in the College of Letters and Science) is not currently impacted (but the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science major in the College of Engineering is reportedly one of the hardest majors to get into).

Depends on the school as to whether it is feasable. If the requirements for the majors and breadth requirements are numerous, double majoring may be more difficult, unless you enter with a lot of useful AP or other credit that fulfills introductory courses.

Doing a double major or major/minor as an undergraduate may be more feasable (while still giving preparation for graduate school in either field).

Is there a certain kind of art (or part of CS) you’re most interested in? You might be better served getting a major in one field and a minor in the other. That way you don’t have to worry about getting accepted to both schools, and you’ll have a lot more flexibility to take only the classes which interest you most instead of a slew of additional required courses.

thank you for all of your tips and advices! they’re really helpful!

@redbug119 i took a look at the forum you were referring to but i’m at a loss as to which thread you’re specifying exactly… i’m sure reading this would be extremely helpful

I meant to post your original question in the Visual Arts forum. A posted named fineartsmajormom (famm for short) has a S at CMU doing art and robotics.
