Is it possible to dual degree with SEAS and CAS? I’m doing computer science in SEAS for now, but can I double major comp sci. with econ (CAS) or something like that? What is the process for this?

yep yep yep, you can do it

yes you can. it's hard though because you have to fulfill curriculum requirements for both schools. You will be taking a very heavy course load all four years and will very likely have to take summer classes

Even if you don't do dual-degree, you can still enroll in a boatload of econ courses.

is it difficult to get a dual degree?
im sure there is competition for spots (especially in Wharton)
I got into the engineering school, and I was wondering how difficult it its to get a dual degree from Wharton.

i know its possible, but i want to know if its a reasonable goal.
is there any GPA cutoff or anything?

You need above a 3.7 to get into Wharton and do a dual degree. You can also try to transfer to M+T. Good luck getting that GPA as a freshman in SEAS. Also, good luck graduating in 4 years attempting a dual degree with Wharton and SEAS. Talk to WhartonAdvisor to see how many students do this and how many years they take to graduate. I think you are best off transferring to Wharton and minoring in engineering if you don't have the means to do summer school. You can minor in anything except BME.

To get a dual degree in the CAS and Wharton, is all you need the 3.7 GPA? Or is there a competitive admissions process?

You need a 3.7 (which technically rises with each year, it's just done on availability of spots in descending GPA order) but you also need to have taken 8 cu's in a year with both math 104 credit and micro/macroecon credit. It basically means you need an A- average or better.

Ok, thank you!
