So that all the DE students don't feel left out, what college courses will/have you guys taken? I'm sending my AP scores to my schools so I'm including that credit.

Hm, how many DE students do we actually have?

If I'm at my current school next year, I'll graduate a year early having complete 17 college courses (including AP credit). I'll attend a summer session to make up the the hours I need for junior standing--lol forget the ivies.

This won’t happen until a full year, but during my senior year I’ll have to take math (post-Calc BC) as Dual Enrollment, stuff like Multivariable/Diff Eq and the like, and maybe a couple others if I’m not feeling lazy enough.

In my state DE students are exempt from tuition and the state buys textbooks so DE courses are cheaper than APs here. Have any of you guys elected to take an AP exam in a subject you took a DE class in? I’ve been considering that.

The delineation of my college classes:

(All these except for PHIL 155 and MATH 381 are with 1 of 2 local CC’s)

Freshman year I took AP Art History, which should be:
ART 114: Survey of Art History I
ART 115: Survey of Art History II

Sophomore year I’m taking AP Calc BC, AP Physics B, and accelerated college Spanish:
MAT 271: Calculus I
MAT 272: Calculus II
PHY 151: College Physics I
PHY 152: College Physics II
SPA 111: Elementary Spanish I
SPA 112: Elementary Spanish II
SPA 211: Intermediate Spanish I
SPA 212: Intermediate Spanish II

If rejected by my state magnet, I’ll take the following next year and graduate early:

(Local CC’s, online and in person)
CHM 151: General Chemistry I
MAT 273: Calculus III
MAT 285: Differential Equations
PED 139: Bowling-beginning
PHI 240: Introduction to Ethics

(Flagship, online)
PHIL 155: Introduction to Mathematical Logic
MATH 381: Discrete Math

I’m strongly considering my state’s flagship, so I count 55 hours. Let’s add 6 in English for SAT scores and 12 for a summer session (at the school in question) after high school: 73.

As I said, forget the ivies. I can stay 3 years, do a double major and minor, and take graduate courses in my majors.

Is any one else lead to their state schools because of DE?

I wish NCSU was so close to me. Other than my CC’s the closest 4 year school is a not a university and offers like all of their math courses on an alternating schedule due to lack of demand. The closest school that offers Linear algebra is 45 minutes away (a CC no less).

Heh, I was actually thinking of taking Bowling with NCSU online if I can’t get it in person.

^I’ve already completed Real Analysis…Might take Complex Analysis senior year.

My classes next year:

AP English
AP Chemistry
AP Stats
APUSH
APES
Spanish VII (H)

Dual Enrollment that will Definitely be Completed by Next Year:
MATH 253 (Calculus III w/ Analytical Geometry)
MATH 270 (Linear Algebra)
MATH 275 (Ordinary Differential Equations)
ECON 100 (Macroeconomics)
ECON 102 (Microeconomics)

Possibly:
CIS 255 (Java)
CIS 278 (C++)
CIS 379 (XML)
MATH 268 (Discrete Mathematics)
PHYS 270 (Physics with Calculus III)
