Dual enrollment credit question

Hi, I took 2 dual enrollment classes at a community college(florida) during my junior year of high school. If I got one A and one B, does this DE GPA affect my GPA when I go to UCF? Or is it just for the credits and I have a fresh start at UCF? I am hearing both sides and would like some clarification.

thank you

Yes, it affects your college GPA because they are DE classes, I graduate with in AA at the same time I graduate High School and all those classes (AP, DE, etc.) count as your college GPA.

The DE credits will affect your Cumulative GPA but not your UCF GPA.

Yes they will affect both because DE credits add an extra point to them so say you got an A that mean you get 4 unweighted gpa points and 5 weighted gpa points UCF adds an extra point so for UCF gpa & weighted gpa you would get 5 points for that class instead of 4.

I just finished my first semester at UCF and I also had two DE credits coming in, they only counted them towards my Cumulative GPA, the UCF GPA is only for classes that you have taken at UCF.

Oh, well maybe it’s different for you since you only took 2 DE classes, I get a whole AA degree at the same time as i graduate high school so I have taken about 21-22 DE classes and already have a college GPA
