Hi, I took 2 dual enrollment classes at a community college(florida) during my junior year of high school. If I got one A and one B, does this DE GPA affect my GPA when I go to UF? Or is it just for the credits and I have a fresh start at UF? I am hearing both sides and would like some clarification.

thank you

You are hearing both sides because there are multiple GPAs at UF.

Tracking GPA: This is your GPA in critical tracking courses for your major at UF.
Cumulative GPA: This is your GPA from all higher ed classes, including DE at community colleges (There might be another name for this GPA but I forgot it)
UF GPA: Your GPA at the university. All incoming students have a GPA of 0.0.

Dual enrollment automatically starts your gpa in college, while AP or IB credit only gives you the credit without starting your gpa.
