Does William and Mary accept lab-science dual enrollment credits from four year universities like JMU?

My son had the GIS course from JMU. I was really looking forward to him having that 4.0 times 4 hours added in. Didn’t work that way. He got the hours as part of his hours needed for graduation and nothing else. No GER credit and no GPA points. I don’t know if that is the way it always works for other courses, but if yours is the GIS- that is what it is.

We certainly do accept transfer credit from four-year universities. It simply depends on the course and whether we offer something similar at W&M for which we can award credit. However, we only transfer credit; not grades. That’s true of most colleges.

and to admissions note- we had not actually looked it up on the W&M site- just unfortunately the teacher of the course kept stressing that if you got an A you would have those GPA points. Possibly she meant at JMU or possibly she just doesn’t know.
