Dual Enrollment During School Year w/ Block Schedule

<p>During a class at CC (during the summer), I met someone who had graduated HS at 15. She is currently 1 year into her education and is doing quite well.
While taking classes at a college, I have came to LOVE the atmosphere that college tends to provide. Although I only have completed my Freshman year, I am yearning to skip the social pyramid, extreme GPA elitists, and people who do not care about their education. </p>

<p>My plan is to take 3 classes at my HS, 4 classes at CC, and 4 classes online.
H. Bio, H. English, and AP Euro at my HS.
US History, Honors English 110 (AP Junior Lit), Government, and Honors English 111(AP Senior Lit) at CC.
And 4 years worth of the same language online (self-paced).</p>

<p>"Woah, that's a lot of classes and you don't have a math class."
Yes, I realize this. However, explaining the math problem, I am taking Calculus over the summer at the moment at CC. So, that will cover my math requirements. Also, I am planning to majoring in Journalism, so math wont be much use to me after HS.
On the topic of the number of classes, I do well with work load. I also will have a large amount of free time, due to the fact that all the CC classes I have mentioned are only and hour long and are only on Monday and Wednesdays. Also, I would only be taking two CC classes at a time, 2 during each college semester.
I am also passionate about all the subjects I am taking (take away Bio), so in my opinion and experience, I should be able to take on the workload.
And I would only be taking 7 classes at a time. 3 HS year long, 2 CC at a time, and 2 online classes per semester.</p>

<p>When I was looking into this, the only problem I saw was the fact that my school uses a block schedule. Since each week, the days on which the classes are on alternate.
At the moment I cannot find a way around this. Any and all help is welcomed with handshakes, hugs, and kisses (optional.)
Many cheers, Abe.</p>

<p>P.S. I am applying to the CC I am dual enrolling at if I can graduate after Sophomore year.
Double P.S. All the classes I am taking are necessary to complete credits.</p>

<p>You’re being a little idealistic if you think college doesn’t have those things. </p>

<p>

</p>

<p>:(
Fair enough. </p>

<p>

</p>

<p>I don’t think it should matter what your school’s schedule is? I’m a full-time dual-enrollment student next year and some days I don’t even have classes. I think I might be misunderstanding your question. </p>

<p>

</p>

<p>IMO, that’s a bad idea. Transfer admissions are harder than regular and the course offerings at CCs are really limited. </p>

<p>(Have you considered dual enrollment at a university?)</p>

<p>I can help with the block scheduling part. Honestly it is not really an option to take more then like one DE class with block schedules. I am one of two people who took a DE class this year, I took a class after school, as did my friend. With block scheduling DE is not very realistic. Just take classes at your school.</p>
