My Junior and Senior years I have matriculated myself into a dual enrollment program where half of my classes are high school AP classes and the other half are classes at MDC (Miami Dade College).

So far I have completed 3 semester and I am enrolled in my 4th. I have 40 college credits and have taken classes up to Differential Equations and Calculus 3 in the college. I've also taken some classes such as business calculus, and business management that are not offered in a normal high school.

My questions is:
How will this be seen by top Ivys?
Does this give me a considerable advantage over a lot of applicants?

I've read that something like 40 percent of students admitted to Ivy League colleges have a whole year or more of previous college-level study, so, yes, that kind of background is well liked by Ivy League colleges.

What a college thinks of your dual enrollment program depends on how strong it is. Minnesota has had a statewide dual-enrollment program for more than twenty years, and thus Minnesota students with this background are very familiar to Ivy League admission officers. I'm puzzled about how "business calculus" relates to "calculus III" in your academic program, and about other details you mention, and I'm sure college admission officers will look closely at what courses you took to compare your program to that of other applicants.

Have you taken any AP tests in subjects you have studied through dual enrollment?

I took Calculus and Analytical Geometry 1 in the college and I also took the AP Calculus AB test. My school generally prohibits us from taking any class in the college that we are also taking as AP in the high school, but this time I guess they overlooked it.

I got a 5 in the AP Calculus and a A in MAC2311.

I am also currently enrolled AP Calculus BC and I took MAC2312 (Calculus and Analytical Geometry 2) in the Summer semester and received an A.

So far I've taken:
Fall 2006:
-Business Management
-Philosophy
-Intro to Chemistry
-Intro to Chemistry Lab
