Dual Major or a separate masters degree ?

I'm an Electrical Engg student and I have the option to dual major in Finance if I put an extra year more else I could go for a Masters in finance which is also one year. Technically I would be spending the same money. Everything being the same which sounds as a more promising option ?

Do you want to get an electrical engineering job or a finance job?

Get the Masters. Then go get the engineering masters. You’ll be golden. The second major is worthless if you can get the masters for the same amount in the same amount of time.

I’ve realized that I enjoy investment side more than Engg so I would be seeking a position in the financial field although I will be completing my Electrical Engg degree.

Thank you guys for shedding some insight.

I do not see a point in getting two masters degrees as Tortfeasor mentioned. For you, it would be better to get an MBA in Finance from a good school. (then you will be golden)
