Dual majors across colleges go to 2 graduation ceremonies? example, BA in l&s plus BS haas

actually could go to more than 2. School wide major ceremony and then may be college/department ceremony.

For your case, the main ceremony this year was May 14, 2011. Haas ‘departmental’ ceremony was May 16, 2011 and to arbitrarily pick an L&S department since you didn’t specify, MCB was on May 17th. The range of dates was May 13 (law) to May 21 for departmental/college specific ceremonies.

Thanks. I actually didn’t know that within L&S there existed departmental ceremonies. I remember seeing a huge crowd around campus and assumed that was the L&S ceremony. This means that you only graduate with the people from your individual department(s)? In other words, are there also general school-wide and/or college-wide ceremonies?

There is a UC Berkeley wide general commencement - huge - then there are ceremonies for the smaller colleges and by major department for the larger ones especially in L&S

There is a web site for everything at Cal [Home | Commencement](http://graduation.berkeley.edu/)

Great, thank you
