<p>Aiite so it may not be on the top of your things to do on a Friday night, but like a lotta people in this forum, I'm also a nerved out on college. My stats aren't stoked, but I'm getting there. Check it out:</p>

<p>Aiite so up to here is the numbers game. I was just wondering if it would be in my interest to take different SAT II's for my intended colleges.</p>

<p>Debate Club - President (4 years)
Speech Club - Oratory Chair (4 years)
Student Council - Executive Treasurer, Executive President (2 years)
NHS - But I quit in the middle b/c it was a pointless club (1/2 year)

Video Yearbook - Founder, Director-in-Chief (2 years)
Varsity Volleyball - Assistant Coach (4 years)

<p>Rafael Foreign Migrant Workers' Free Clinic - (5 hours per weekend)
Bundang Jaesang Hospital - (10 hour days for 2 weeks during the summer)
Free tutoring in English for the sons/daughters of taxi drivers - (3 kids for two 2-hour sessions a week)
Habitat for Humanity - (An entire day, once every month)</p>

<p>Internships:</p>

<p>Summer + Winter internship with a dude from Harvard where I didn't do anything, but did learn a lot about the experimental process in the professional world. I got sent to run errands, watch specimens culture, the dirty work. I could probably omit all that and just say I worked with a Harvard dude, but would this even help me in the first place?</p>

<p>Summer internship with the International Herald Tribune</p>

<p>I'm currently applying for an internship with GQ Korea and this major advertising/publicity company in Korea called Cheil Communications.</p>

<p>I've applied to Samsung, but got denied due to my age. </p>

<p>The point I'm getting at is, what kind of internships should I be looking for?
I have this dilemma because I think I have definite talent in the art department - I've always been praised for my graphic design, my skill with creating videos, my posters around school, things like that. My projects are always complimented for the visual aspect, but yet, I've been so focused on studying and set myself to work for business that now, its too late to pursue a career in the arts. I was thinking I could do marketing as my major and have minors in graphic design, but would that be weak? Should I go all in and think about applying to dream schools for film and design like RISD and Tisch? Is it worth throwing away all my academic strengths in debate, etc? (I'll go into how they're my strengths later.)</p>

<p>I'm thinking I should try a bank internship or something like that for the business aspect.</p>

<p>I think you have a chance with all of those. As long as you can make what you did seem like a big... hook.</p>

<p>Your SAT I is kinda low for the Ivy's (generally)</p>

<p>Also, I believe you can't apply for NYU Stern and NYU Tisch in the same year. Only one NYU school per year.</p>

<p>i think you have a good shot, not excellent, but decent. you should be proud of your efforts, as you have obviously worked hard. your ecs are very solid, and its a crapshoot with these schools. id say you would get into at least one of these schools, if youre lucky.</p>

<p>Your from korea and i've heard a lot of sad stories containing international koreans getting in to Harvard but end up being so stressed they kill themselves. No joke. I'm saying this because you probably will get into at least one of those schools. Prestige isn't everything. Go to a school you really want to go to and one can handle.</p>

<p>You'll definitely make several of those schools, but NYU tisch is a weird choice.</p>

You would be a second year student if you get accepted to any school.</p>

the rest are reaces</p>

<p>if your SAT 1 was like 100-200 more, you would have a decent shot at those schools.</p>

<p>oh cuz i love film, audiovisual work, etc. do a lot of it at home just as a hobby so tisch would be cool. the kanbar school there is ranked top for film</p>
