Just got an email from them, saying that financial aid will automatically pay for it.

So my aid exceeds my costs, i just don’t do anything?
it still says i owe an amount? i dont want to be charged a late fee.
when i check my account inquiry it doesn’t have a pending aid amount for 2010

^I’m freaking out. I don’t have ANY fall pending aid amount now. It says I owe 8969.67, I’m supposed to have 9079.00 pending (it was there yesterday), but now it’s gone. lol

Nothing new on my bank account either… so what happened?

@Cherryapple

Me neither. All my fall pending aid is now gone. I saw it earlier and now it’s gone. I was just going to pay as well. ***…

My pending aid has also disappeared, so it now shows that I owe an amount… I hope I don’t get hit with a late fee if I sit back and let the system work itself out…

Btw, a little unrelated, but did anyone else get their “UC Santa Cruz Grant” drastically lowered from what it was projected to be a couple of months ago? I made a thread a while back here: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-california-santa-cruz/987573-uc-santa-cruz-grant.html

My pending aid has disappeared too…does this mean we have to pay the full ~9000 dollars?

And does anyone know WHEN exactly the payment is due? Like is it due when the clock strikes twelve tomorrow?

I think they already used our pending aid money to pay for the tuition. But how come I didn’t get any money for the Academic Competitive Grant Yr1? It saids that on my anticipated aid on Sallie Mae ePay.

Wait guys, I just checked. My financial aid just kicked in. Now I just have to pay what I owe.

My pending aid has disappeared too… my “account summary” for 2010 Fall Quarter is gone also like the whole roll of information that was there earlier?? and when i click on “charges due” it says “You have no outstanding charges at this time”. im lost i tried calling the financial aid office but couldnt get a hold of them.

Apparently, I have no charges due at this time. BUT I know I had an extra $100 or so extra but it hasn’t been given to me. Anyone know what’s up?

I signed up for direct dis posit into my checking account, but my balance is the same… UCSC didn’t give it to me.

I received all of my pending aid except for the academic competitiveness grant, which is still pending.

So like 5 hours ago I paid the money that I owed, but in my portal it still shows up that I owe that amount of money. Should I give it a day or two to be taken off?

I printed my receipt.

Guys, for the people waiting for their refund, give it a couple days to disperse then check your account again.

Iggykins is correct. The delays are normal both for the direct deposits and for the posting of the paid amounts (especially since you are using a third party to pay your bill when using Sallie Mae e-pay). Things do not happen instantaneously with these things. Up to two days before seeing the posting of a paid bill is normal (and this is indicated when you go to pay your bill as it is highly recommended that you allow for this delay and not wait until the last minute ;)). The direct deposits will show up when they are sent off to your bank. I’ve yet to receive mine before the start of classes in the past, but this can always change.

Relax. Many of you are panicking far too quickly and easily. It is good to keep records of all things, though. Be prepared, but don’t be paranoid :)

i already paid the money i owe like 2 days ago. then today when i logged into my ucsc portal, it said that i owed 250 dollars! i dont know why! does anyone know?
thank you so much!

i think that 250 dollars is from that ACG reward

so i owe $250 cuz of an award? i dont get it…

u owe $250 because they didn’t give you your money for that ACG grant

aww! that sucks! ok then…

Well, the same thing happened to me…
