<p>To answer someoneā€™s question, last year decision were released on Thursday, March 26, so weā€™re expecting the 25th this year. </p>

<p>I cannot wait for decisions, it is consuming me (mostly with a deadly melange of anxiety and boredom). </p>

<p>So is Duke everyoneā€™s #1 choice here? After a lot of thought, Iā€™ve decided that it is the place for me. So, I REALLLY want to get in. And then we could all meet up and have a party that puts that schoolā€¦ to shame! ;)</p>

<p>Duke is my second choice. I visited the campus last spring break and really loved the atmosphere and environmentā€¦ THAT and the amazing pre-med/med they have.</p>

<p>And of course the basketball ( ; I would love to see my face, painted blue and white on ESPN haha</p>

<p>As plumazul said, Houston isnā€™t in the traditional south (As someone who lives in MO, this has been told to me many times (MO, KY, TX, MD, DE, etc. are more border states than southern states).</p>

<p>And Duke is a better school than Rice overall (my opinion of course since it really does not matter lol). Duke is also more a traditional (though liberal) southern school whereas Rice is more of a Stanford-esque Texas style school (emphasis on math/science and industry). </p>

<p>:) Honestly though it does not matter, Rice and Duke are very different schools (well, other than Pratt). To each his own. :)</p>
