Duke 2015 ED applicants

billabongboy9828 u r making me more worried…

It’s fake. We just need to go back to being excited for the email and looming decisions!

Guys, seriously. If they can’t back up their claims, then there’s no point in believing them.

Duke has never and would never send a decision letter via email. They have a standard procedure. They send an email with a pin number and a link, where you sign in and see your decision. This person is either a fraud or some sort of athlete.

Like some said, Duke never releases their admissions via e-mail. It’s obviously fake.
Don’t worry guys - the e-mail will come soon hopefully. :)

what an awful thing to do to people who have basically put their heart on the line by saying duke is the only place they want to go.

@billabongboy9828

What are you doing on the Duke ED forum? Aren’t you applying to Brown? It seems slightly suspicious that you’re the only one supporting this ivyboundstud.

bahahah what a n00b

Congratulations! I am delighted to inform you that you have been admitted to the Class of 2015, the 173th class to enter Duke University. You will be one of 1,645 students who individually and collectively display a remarkable diversity of strengths and interests. You were chosen not only for what you can contribute to our intellectual community, but also for what you will gain from the myriad academic and extracurricular opportunities that distinguish undergraduate education at Duke.

Your official admission decision letter has been mailed to you and I ask that you read it carefully, as it contains more detailed information than is possible for us to provide here. Please remember that as a candidate admitted under an Early Decision plan, you are required to withdraw all other applications and not initiate any new ones.

If you are a candidate for financial aid, information regarding your financial aid award will be included with your official admission decision letter. This information is also available online. We encourage you to contact the Office of Financial Aid with any questions.

We know that this Early Decision admission will not only relieve you of the anxiety of applying to college, but more importantly, it will permit you to focus your efforts on learning for the rest of the year. Please remember that this offer of admission is contingent upon your maintaining an academic and social record at the same level that has brought you admission to Brown at this early date.

On behalf of the Duke faculty and President Richard H. Brodhead, please accept my congratulations on your admission. Please do not hesitate to write to me if you have any questions that remain after you receive your official decision letter.

Finally, please don’t forget what it took to get you to this point; we fully expect you to maintain high standards of academic performance and personal behavior in and out of school, including abiding by our Community Standard. If there is any change in the information in your application – including academic, personal, disciplinary, or legal matters – it is essential that you contact me immediately. We reserve the right to withdraw our offer of admission should your standing in any of these areas change or do not meet the terms of the Community Standard between now and the beginning of our fall term.

haha three pages wasted on one joke? theres gotta be something better to do lol

well that just made me way more appreciative of the people on this forum. (not that i wasn’t already)

I knew it was a joke, and I thought it was funny. It made me take a step back to realize how stupid getting so anxious is.

You could have easily taken someone else’s decision that they posted in a previous year, and changed the year/number of students…still don’t believe this claim.
