Duke ACT Writing Score Question

I have high ACT and SAT composites (35 (36 superscore), 1560) but my highest writing score is a 9/12 on the ACT Writing. This puts me in the 91st percentile, but with schools like Duke I was worried that this may not be high enough.

Is my 9 on the ACT Writing an acceptable score?

Duke doesn’t superscore the composite ACT, but your scores are excellent. Focus on the other parts of your application–that’s what will make you stand out.

Scores are fine. No need to retake

I’m a Duke student and I had low writing scores too. I wouldn’t worry about it.
