Duke admits 3,778 (19%) of applicants; anticipates 44% yield

Accepted at Cornell, waitlisted Duke, Columbia, Pton

Send in ur extra info at Duke. It is definitely worth it.

Accepted Duke and Harvard, waitlisted at Yale and Princeton, rejected at Stanford

Waitlisted. Rejected at my other top choices (I do have USC w/ half scholarship and Rice). I will do anything to get into Duke. They have been my number one.

What do people think about the predicted yield?

Any pointers for the waitlist?

(Econ/Finance Major) Admitted by Georgetown, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Vanderbilt, Rice, George Washington, U. Michigan, Babson, U. of Chicago(no fin.aid received yet, but 9.5k merrit scholarship), UT Austin(McCombs business school) and DUKE, but i'm sure that the fact i was born in Honduras and had 2 internships at investment banking firms played a positive role.

Waitlisted at Duke - Accepted WUSTL, W&L, GA Tech -- Scholarships to UMiami and UF Honors College. All have biomed except W&L and , surprisingly, UF (you have to get a master's or PhD). Still haven't visited W&L or Duke -- maybe a good idea? The smartest choice seems to be to follow the money. After all, grad school (med?) will cost a bundle.

Accepted Duke, WUSTL, Brown, Cornell, CMU
Waitlisted: Upenn, Dartmouth, NU

Just reading this list shows you how random college admissions is at the top level.

Rejected: Princeton, Yale, Brown
Waitlisted: Duke and UVa
Accepted: William and Mary, Boston U, JMU, Mary Wash.

anyone else think the yield will be lower than expected in the wake of the scandals?

I think the yield will be lower than expected but not because of the scandal but because it will be lower many places due to more people applying more places thanks to things like the common app and online apps.

rejected: princeton, yale, penn
waitlist: dartmouth, columbia
accepted: DUKE, hopkins, UNC, UVA, BC
