If I am going to be premed and a bio major, which school will offer the best opportunities for getting into medical school? I do not care about cost, environment, and others. Please try to remain unbiased.
Thank you

Um

how could you not care about the "environment" of the school.

If you're basing what could potentially be your home for the next four years on just "med school acceptances" then i think you should rethink your criteria.

Duke and JHU are both excellent schools. But I think the environment and style is very different.

i concur, personally I think JHU is overrated for pre-med. Just bc. they have a better ranked med school than duke doesn't mean that going there will help you get into the med. school. So, with that in mind, you should take into consideration environment.

If you just have to stay go to a big city, then go to JHU. but Duke def. has the better campus atmosphere. and basketball team.

anyhow this topic was also dilberated over the thread in college search forum =D

JHU pre-med is more competitive. If med school is your ultimate goal, Duke will offer a slightly less stressful experience.

I would go to Duke over JHU. What happens if you change your mind and no longer want to go to med school? Since both are fine schools, I don't think the difference is significant when it comes to getting into med schools.

And

JHU is also a great place.

The only situation where it would make a difference would be if you had your heart set on attending either Duke Med or Hopkins Med. Otherwise, the medical school admissions office will be much more interested in you as an applicant than the school you attend.

And probably not even then.
