Hello,
I am a senior applying to Duke’s Pratt school of engineering Early Decision.
I am interested in a career in biomedical engineering, medical device development, and potentially creating/working in a biotech/medical device start-up.
I’ve heard that BME is not a good undergrad major to get jobs right after school, so I am hesitant to major in it, but it is ranked extremely highly at Duke.
So, hypothetically if I get admission into Duke, would it be smart to double major in BME in CS so I can take advantage of Duke BME ranking while gaining the CS expertise I need?
Is this manageable in terms of workload for a driven student who also wants to pursue research? Any advice?
Thank you so much!
