is duke easier to get into than most ivys?

most... probably. it's still a great school. it's probably slightly more difficult to get into than cornell and maybe penn and dartmouth (which are also all great schools).

jeez...please dont misinform...Penn is HARD to get in. Duke is easier than Penn, so is Dartmouth, Cornell and Brown.

all ivys and duke and most schools are extremely difficult to get into. plus it depends on you--different schools are looking for different things.

its easier to get into duke than penn. penn accepts 20% with a freshman class of 3000 and duke accepts 25% with a much much smaller freshman class to fill

US News rates Duke's seletivity 8th, lower than UPenn's, and higher than those of Dartmouth, Brown, Columbia and Cornell.

Duke accepsts a lot of their applicants with 1600 SAT I's . Ivy schools accept like only 30 percent.

If you really want to get an idea, go to the individual forums: Check out Duke ED vs. Princeton ED vs. D-mouth ED, for example. Check out who got in. You'll get an idea.

They are all so similar, SATs, grades, etc. From my class people got rejected and accepted about equally between Duke, Brown, Dartmouth, Columbia, and Penn.

Duke is one of the best schools in the country.

"Duke" and "Ivies" are among the best schools in the country....

But Duke is really trying to do something about its reputation as a school filled with only white guys so they're accepting a lot of Asians, Hispanics and other minorities these past couple years. Ethnicity counts more in Duke than other schools at the same level like Dartmouth, Cornell etc.

does duke accept the common app mid year report?
