& please compare & contrast the two :D Thanks!

cornell is easier to get into, at least from what I’ve experienced

Cornell has a higher rate of acceptance…I think its about 18% and Duke’s is about 16%

Cornell admissions is done by college. 2010 freshman admit rates were as follows:
Ag 21.2%; Hum Ec 31.3%; ILR 20.1%; Architecture 14.6%; Arts & Sciences 15.7%; Engineering 21.7%; Hotel 26.0%.

The only admit %# I saw for Duke was released before they went to the waitlist, which they then proceeded to use extensively.

Usually Duke is slightly harder, but it’s definitely subjective because I personally know people who were rejected from Cornell and accepted to Duke, and vice versa.

Yeah, I got rejected from Cornell, but into Duke (although I’m happy how that turned out)

But yeah, Duke is probably more difficult now. I’d say Cornell has a wider range of applicants, but Duke is more selective.

Cornell is definitely easier to get into. I got into Cornell and so did 5 other kids in my class.
1 only got into Duke, the other 2 were waitlisted and got in. I didn’t even consider going to Cornell because of the overwhelming number of suicides that have occurred there recently.

I got into both but decided to go to Duke, as did a few of my friends here at Duke. (although this doesn’t mean for sure that cornell is easier to get into, just my opinion that it is)
