was it an IDOC request or a request from a Duke financial aid counselor? i doubt it means anything anyway and I have a feeling you are right
i didn’t get any further info request or anything, that doesnt mean anything right?
My guess is that like most people who applied for aid, you already submitted everything you needed that was on the checklist in the portal so it means they have everything they need.
ok thank you !! I’m just so paranoid about all this lol
IDOC. but if i submitted them through IDOC there’s no reason for a financial aid counselor to ask for them again.
they only ask for extra documents if they need more info. often times a person applies through CSS and FAFSA and that gives the financial aid office all they need to put together an aid package. if they need more info, that’s when they request documents, but again, in past years many people have been admitted without any extra financial aid documents requested.
I’m confused because the only that’s mentioned is needing a W2 form so that seems more like something that’s required from everyone and not an extra request…
I accidentally sent 2 of my dad’s W2 forms and not my mom’s so they asked for it this afternoon. I’m sure it means nothing concerning my decisions, so this just means I was missing something
yes of course, the majority of applicants probably don’t need to send anything else. its just the fact that they asked me for something i am missing this late in December made me wonder.
yeah i understand that. i’d just caution against too much speculation because from what i remember from last years thread, kids were getting financial aid document requests up to a few days before decisions and some of those kids still got rejected. i just don’t think it’s an indicator of acceptance/rejection
hey i was looking at my financial aid checklist and I submitted my FASFA and CSS profile late november and until a few days ago my checklist wasn’t there. However, I emailed them and I saw the checklist today and it said my FASFA and CSS were recieved today? I’m overthinking, but there’s nothing wrong right, like it doesn’t signify a rejection?
I think it is normal.
does everyone get a financial aid estimate no matter if you were accepted or denied? “Financial Aid decisions will also be available online at that time for those whose applications were complete.” …it sounds like everyone gets one no matter what.
Tomorrow is the day guys! I hope everyone can stay busy and not worry too much. I’ll tell everyone like how my family tells me, wherever you go, you will do great things with great people! Good luck to everyone !
good luck to everyone, manifesting all of our acceptances!
I don’t think so. I’m not 100% sure, but it wouldn’t make sense to give a financial aid package to someone who didn’t get in.
They might put them together for everyone due to time constraints (not being able to wait for admission to be done to make the packages) but I doubt you will ever see your package if you are not accepted
very excited (and nervous) for tomorrow! i can’t wait🤭 best of luck to everyone!
Did anyone’s update name disappear? I hate how paranoid I am getting…
yeah, mine’s gone too
