Essay question: If you are applying to the Trinity College of Arts and Sciences as a first year applicant, please discuss why you consider Duke a good match for you. Is there something particular about Duke that attracts you? (Please limit your response to no more than 150 words.)

After looking at a few example essays, what I've been trying to do is:
1. Make a remark about some feature of Duke (i.e. scenery, environment)
2. Using that remark, make a statement about how it's significant to me
3. Say how the program I'm applying to reflects that statement

This is what I have so far, and I've pretty much gotten 1 down. I'm not so sure about 2, but that's what I've come up with for now. I'm completely lost on #3; I feel like I'm dead in the water desperately thinking of anything to write about.

When I first visited Duke last spring, I was struck by how the campus combined a sense of community and healthy competition to produce a calm yet productive environment. The students and faculty working as a whole to contribute to the school conveyed an impressive notion of purposeful functionality. Similarly, the computer science program at the Trinity College of Arts and Sciences also reflects this concept. Having grown up in a new age of technology, I have encountered countless examples of the unit and the whole.
