So I managed to squeeze into all of my classes but Writing 20 during the third registration window, so I chose a History course: "North America to 1760" (the first year seminar was full) to meet my humanities requirement. Am I allowed to take this course, or, since I'm an incoming freshman, am I relegated to taking the first year seminar (which I can't even take at this point, even if I wanted to)? If the latter is true, I'm pretty screwed :(

You are never forced to take any "first year" class except writing 20. YOu can take any seminar you want with it, but you never have to take a specific "first year" seminar. There are no prerequisites for the history course you are in, so you are fine.

lol thanks. I know that was totally a retarded freshman moment :P
