Suggestion for a EASY Social Science/Humanity elective(philosophy?)

Hey guys,

Im taking one more credit than normal, so im looking for THE EASIEST social science/humanity course. Any ideas?

Are philosophy courses easy at Duke? What about psychology?

Are first year seminars generally easier than real courses? I can tell the class hours is less, what about homeowrk amount? and test/exams? Does a seminar consume less energy/time?

Thanx very much

Why overload first semester freshman year?
Psych 11 is really easy, though technically a NS, and it may have been beefed up more but I doubt it.
I Physics 49s is a super easy freshman seminar as long as moo young han is still teaching.
Look into Nickerson for more humanities, SO Boring, but really easy. Taoism, Tai Chi, and chinese religion i think are his 3 classes. Terribly horribly boring, but an easy A/A- is hard to find

Thanx so much!

Are seminars generally require less time than a course?

wait, are you a freshman? how are you overloading 1st semester? is there a way to do that and did u have to do anything specical?

Depends. Class participation is often a large part of your grade in a seminar, so the readings are mandatory. On the other hand, tests and papers are often a bit easier.

I would add CLST 11S and 12S (Greek and Roman Civ, respectively) to the list of fairly easy humanities courses.
