Duke is a good target for business ... but how good?

Duke unfortunately releases minimal statistics. I can see that it is recruited well (GS, etc. in top employers, high % into finance) but can anyone guesstimate, or even better have insider info of, the actual number of BB and top consulting jobs (Bain, Mckinsey, etc) Duke grads normally get?

It's really hard comparing Duke to my other option, Queen's University Commerce (in Canada), where at least there is concrete evidence of some top placements.

Also, how competitive is the Duke in NY program? Is there a good FOCUS program for pre-business students? How much of a benefit will Duke's alumni network be for helping students get to Wall St.? Are there many econ grads looking for these kinds of jobs that don't get anything? Will being an international student hurt my employment prospects?

Thanks! :)

I’d contact the career placement office. I was very impressed with them when we visited last week. They seemed very helpful.

Duke is in the top 10 in the world for ibanking/consulting recruiting

Pretty much you have the top ivies, wharton, mit, stanford, and then Duke right below them.

Our alumni, career office, and resources are awesome. Check out [Duke Venture Forward](http://dukeventureforward.org/)

Seriously, you’ll be fine. I’m going into consulting and I’ve already got so many opportunities its not even funny

Best of luck
