<p>Hey anyone want to put in their 2 cents about where they think I should go between Duke University and the University of Miami? I'm a Business/Finance major if that helps.</p>

<p>Pierre, what are you talking about? Duke for business or finance just about every time. Is money a huge issue?</p>

<p>Top employers = Just about every elite finance/consulting firm. Goldman, JP Morgan, Boston Consulting, McKinsey, etc all recruit heavily at Duke - more than at UM.</p>

Florida usually sends more students to Duke than any state other than NC. Many of them, including several of my friends, turned down Miami and other Florida schools. Location is nice, but it isn’t everything. In any case, 90% of the people who comment on Durham haven’t set foot within a 50 mile radius of it. ;)</p>
<p>I have been in Durham. I was in Durham last fall when I stopped there to visit some friends at Duke (on my way up to seeing Clemson lose at Maryland 
). At least Durham has Bojangles :)</p>
<p>if you want nice beach and more vacation style college life go to Miami
but if you want better college and fun in college plus passionate basketball go to Duke!</p>

<p>UMiami isn’t in Miami despite its name, it’s in Coral Gables. Also, it’s ridiculous to make this decision on weather alone.</p>
