Duke - Pratt Acceptance?

Hello all,

This is my first post on CC so i'm sorry if i'm not doing something protocol haha.
I applied to the Pratt School of Engineering and was notified of my acceptance to Duke University Class of 2015 yesterday. However, the letter didn't say anything about Pratt. Does this mean I was accepted to Duke but not Pratt or am I accepted to Pratt, but they just didn't say anything about it....

Thanks for your help!

Pretty sure if you applied to Pratt, you’re in at Pratt. I think they use the same admissions letter for Pratt and Trinity. Once you get to campus, all you have to do to switch schools is turn in a piece of paper, so it wouldn’t make sense for them to admit you to Trinity but deny you at Pratt if you made it clear that you want to be in Pratt.

And, congrats!! If you choose Duke, you’re in for a great 4 years. I graduated from Pratt and would LOVE to trade places with you and do it all over again.

Edit: Oops, spoke too soon. Apparently they’re scrutinizing transfers from Trinity to Pratt a little more carefully these days, but still, if you applied to Pratt, they considered you for and admitted you to Pratt. They wouldn’t just switch schools on you without telling you.

Thanks so much! I was a bit scared that I didn’t get into Pratt even though I applied. How will I know for sure if I get into Pratt though…? Do they just tell you on the first day or something? xD
