hello - a class of 39???

I hope these numbers aren't intimidating other RDers from posting their stats! These can't possibly be the only applicants - our stats are too far above average, even for Duke. Our median is 1520, which is the 75th percentile at Duke!

run4fun - 1520/800/800/760, 1/60, Trinity

Is it just me or is the RD pool a lot more competitive than the ED one? Doesn't seem to be this way with most places...

Is Pratt the engineering school (sorry guys, still haven't started my app lol)

well, the majority of top schools, not all, but most, have some sort of restriction on applying to other schools early, whether it be ED or single choice EA. Therefore, the level of competition is going to be more a bit more diluted in the sense that less top students will apply to each school because the top people can only apply to one place. You are right in inferring that Duke's ED is hurt by this more than Ivy League schools, for example, and this is due because of the location and some other factors.

Don't get me wrong though: to get in ED you still have to be impressive, and if you're accepted, you definitely deserve it just as much as anyone else.

yes pratt is engineering

Haha sorry, I probably won't get in due to my lack of Duke spirit?

I apologize, it is a projected rank. I expect my current rank to fall, so one of them is my projected rank, and one is my current rank. The denominator is different because I want to keep the same percentile, but mess around with the rank.

stanmaster22, what is your rank and which school are you applying to?

Just a favor - could any future posters post like I have all of them in the roster. It should be:
name - SAT I/highest SAT II/second highest SAT II/lowest SAT II, rank/total students in class OR percentile if not ranked, School (Trinity or Pratt)

slipstream: you should add the average percentile of class rank of people who report it.

This list is pretty ridiculous, so I'd be surprised if at least 60-70% of it didn't get in.
